Granny Square Bag!

As per my post on Granny Square Crochet on 16-06-2024 I browsed the internet for some inspiration on what to do with those Granny Squares that I had lying around and finally decided that I had enough squares to make a Bag!

And here it is!

I based my own Bag on these amazing examples and tutorials:

There are many more out there you just have to find them! Below you may find the links to these amazing tutorials! I am not a desgner and always use the help of others.

During my research I then found out that you can make various sizes depending on the number of squares you have!

Mine went with 13 squares! See below

How to join crochet bag with granny squares

However, mistakes have been made when joining the granny squares in my own Bag!

MIKSTAKES HAVE BEEN MADE

Mistake ONE:

When joining the granny squares, I do believe that I pulled to hard or when doing this joining of the granny squares there is a right side and a wrong side … however no tutorial shows this …or simply I just mucked up! As you notice the seams despite having used the method above… However, the inside of the bag the seams are more embedded … I could use the bag this side out … but I prefer the side that is a bit more rough.

Mistake TWO:

When finishing the bag on the top and in order to do the pegs, I did not follow any tutorial and just winged it and thus did one two many rows and thus the bag sags a bit on the sides and middle as you can see here!

But all in all am quite happy with the end result and will not frog! It will become my summer beach bag for 2024!
